Faucet replacement

Our faucet has been acting up for some time. The difficulties started several weeks ago when I turned on the faucet in the morning and only a trickle of water came out. Mr is a wonderful Mr Fixit, but try as he did, it came to no avail. Things improved for a short time, but the faucet was doing strange things this morning, much like a dog foaming at the mouth. There was no aerator on the faucet but it was making hissing sounds and the stream of water was compromised.  Fortunately I went faucet shopping weeks ago when we first had problems.   The faucet has sat in its box for about two months. Mr took on replacing it this afternoon and I thank goodness! At the same time he did a renovation on the whole sink set up. In addition to the faucet which is is a great little dynamo of an appliance with a pull out sprayer and a modern contempo design, he installed a soap pump and a water spout for a reverse osmosis filter system.

I am impatiently waiting for that RO system. Our water here has a high iron content that negatively effects the taste of foods cooked with water. I can't wait to have sweet clear water for cooking. The water here is sub-par as it comes out of the ground. We don't have an adequate water treatment system at this point, so any improvement in water treatment is very welcomed. These renovations have improved the kitchen water situation and for that reason I am ecstatic! .....Faucet from IKEA with a ten year warranty.
