It was 85 to 90 degrees today depending on which bank thermometer you believe. Under any circumstances it was warm and beautiful. My tulips are blooming, even to the point of being flat open on its first day of opening. There is a sprinkling of grape hyacinths, a new daffodil or two, flowering Rosemary, and lots of buzzing bees perking up the garden. It is just beautiful. Tonight we sat out on the porch listening to the quiet and the peepers and watching the pink glow on the still water. The windsock was gently dancing a hula in the soft warm evening air. Just beautiful. I waited that long cold freezing winter for this and I embrace it all, now if only the hummingbirds would show up. I would really feel it is all moving forward as it should. A wonder.

What Spring? We have moved on to Summer!
Oh what a wonderful past few days we have had! Sunday was the most marvelous Easter I can remember. We had a house full of guests, we attended church together, then we had a lovely dinner together before out beloved guests departed. I was moved by that fellowship and love that family and friends brought into our usually quiet house. I loved it. I am so grateful for a wonderful warm and nature filled weekend here at the old farm house. We beachcombed on Saturday and saw some natural wonders. Surf casters were catching huge Rockfish. Ospreys were nesting on a tree top and when we returned to the farm the eagle paid us a visit. On the banks of the river a terrapine baby was sitting in the wave ruffles waiting for something to happen. All so beautiful and moving.
