zuccini with beautiful fruit |
There is mayhem in the garden. An invader has eliminated my favorite producer. It is sad to see it go from verdant green and magestic, to wounded, limp and onto completely dead. It was such a beautiful, healthy good producing zuccini plant and it was taken down quickly by a squash borer making its way up the hollow stalk of the plant. So sad and such a waste, not to mention how I will miss the zuccini! I was so excited about succeeding with zuccini for the first time. The damn borers have stopped me in my tracks every time, and now this year they have succeeded again.

today in after its demise |
I am already in mourning for my beautiful bountiful plant. So sad, such a waste!
