The boat came out of the water Saturday. Nature took pity on us boat owners and gave us a respite Saturday and Sunday. If you didn't take your boat out either of those two days, it may not be coming out in 2010. The weather here has been absolutely wicked. We had a high of 26 today and a low of 21, the low was present for way too much of the day.
The windows in this old house are not too good, or at least the "improved" windows previous owners put in leak like a seive. Our guess is that they were not installed properly and that is why they leak terribly. The 140 year old windows, not as bad in the leaks department. All I know is that it is damn cold and I can't stand it. I am too old for this nonsense! The house is much warmer, Mr is a genius, and on the whole the picture here is much more pleasant than a year ago, but it is only December! What is January and February going to bring us? If only I could wear polarfleece all day and night. Maybe I would stay warm. It is just such a horrible prospect to me. I am not into winter. The weather forecast is for wind wind and more wind. Where are those wind turbines when we could really put them to good use?
