I had a fun little diversion yesterday in the name of education. I have heard of Flat Stanley, a flat paper doll man that is sent around the world to gather information as a school project......instead I received a package containing Marvin. Marvin is a traveling beanie baby ostrich who was sent out on a world traveling trip by a young man named Vince from Downington, PA. This is a class project done by Vince's class, each student sent out an animal to explore and report back to the class. I put together a geographic, cultural and historical report for Marvin to bring back to PA with him. I made a blog for Vince to see what Marvin has been up, immediately. If you would like to see what Marvin did in his travels here is the web address of the blog

It was a fun little diversion for the afternoon. I took Marvin to visit notable locations in town and took his picture with those places, then I put all souvenirs and Marving back in the envelope and shipped him on to Iowa, his next destination. Marvin's visit was the highlight of my afternoon which was pretty darn boring.
Spring is creeping out of the earth around here right now, so I have posted a few photos of spring on the shore.
