Progress....

The never ending porch project is not ending, it is just being shelved for a while. It has been an all encompassing, thankless drag of a project. Mr has persevered and suffered through without complaint. A lot more than I could do! Its one of those projects that you didn't expect, don't want to do, don't have a choice whether to do or not, and will take up you life for a long time to come. Now that I think of it it sounds a lot like taking on fixing up this house.
Anyway, the posts have had a huge make over. They are now stand solid and tall. They also look beautiful shiny and clean with their new paint job. The porch is again a screened in porch, boy did we miss it. The summer has arrived and some buggy days have arrived with it. During the day, for the most part, bugs weren't very perseverent about seeking us out way down the other end of this huge porch, but at night they would hunt us down anywhere. In consideration of summmer evening breezes and keeping company with visitors, we are thankful to again be screened in. The better to see our magnificent waterfront, from a waterside seat.
