Pot Rack....Kitchen Organizers...designing myself a kitchen

Oh can I sing the praises of one of my favorite shopping experiences...I can't believe that came out of my mouth, because I don't like to shop! Dependable, never boring, IKEA is my go to place for affordable kitchen organization and well thought out design. I'm and artist, I'm a designer, I appreciate good design...and you aren't going to find any place much better than IKEA at that game. This time they solved my pot storage problem, and solving that gave me a bit of space to work with to solve my pot lid chaos.

I tripped over the most fabulous pot lid rack while perusing IKEA for a faucet. This rack is the bargain of the century, sturdy as granite, beautiful as a sleek modernist sculpture, and super usable to boot! I love this thing. I loved it so much I bought two.  Then I thought I got carried away and was having buyers remorse, when it came to me that this little accordian style rack had other uses for other kitchen storage dilemas. I was so glad I took two!

Here to the left is a photo of the little darling in action. It took a tiny bit of putting together because in true IKEA style they also plan their shipping for the most economical design to keep down costs. So this pot lid rack also became a frying pan rack, and a pie plate rack, and I am sure it is going to find more life elsewhere in the kitchen and the house. Screwing it together didn't take any tools, just fingers. The box it comes in is so small you could carry it in your purse like a paperback book. I just love this thing. Easy to clean too, it is stainless steel! I am showing it inside the pull out drawers in my cabinet. I put one in each pull out drawer.

The other rack is all pot covers and I put them in size order so I can find exactly what I am looking for in the first few seconds, not after a fifteen minute safari into the disorganization of my country kitchen. As I said, I just love this thing! Here are some more photos of how I am using it.
