Garden fatalities

Whew, I am definitely living the farm life. I took some time off from the farm and though I had irrigation, the place has gone to the weeds. Summer gardens need so much tending, and my partner is not very attuned to dried up flowers and vegetables. Many of my pampered plants have vaporized in the sun and heat.  The hanging pots I cultivated so carefully have degenerated to stretched out, dried out containers of disappointing annuals that look like they have spent the last week in the Sahara. The whole scene is pretty upsetting to me. I have irrigation in the beds yet it too was to no avail, at least in the case of the hanging pots. They still look like slices of bacon sitting a flower pot. I'll share some photos of the victims below.....they are the subject of my silent prayers. On the left is what the plant looked like when I departed. On the right is what it looks like today......

The plant pictured above and to the left is a Fuschia plant, the variety is Dark Eyes

The pot below and to the right has some surviving elements, but most of it has plain out croaked. I had some beautiful blue Lobelia trailing off the pot and it contrasted beautifully with the pink double Impatient plant. Its not there anymore...fried like chicken tenders!
